Today I had my stitches taken out from my skin biopsy. Results showed it was an Angiokeratoma...a benign vascular tumor. I'm thankful it wasn't melanoma...that is what my doc thought it looked like.

Later, I went for my CT scans to have the suspicious lesion on my spleen checked out...that turned out to be a spleenic Hemangioma, another type of a benign vascular tumor. BIG SIGH OF RELIEF.

The CT scan did reveal I have a 5mm renal stone in my kidney...it isn't bothering me now and hopefully it won't in the future.

I'm so thankful my wait is over. Once you have had cancer and you are told something looks suspicious, it is hard not to think cancer again.

I dodged 2 bullets to day and am so grateful Tonight I will sleep well!

So proud for you!

I had lymphoma in 2006, I am checked regardly for recurrence. None so far.
I had a questionable mamogram two months ago, and was re-examined and ultrasound. I was so glad when they told me everything was fine.

We are always afraid of a recurrence or new episode.

I would have worried, too - as you said, once you've had cancer - -

But now you don't have to anymore. This is just the best news.

I really slept well last night...felt like a huge load was lifted.

This morning, I noticed my incision reopened on my leg where the stitches were removed. I headed right to the doc and they put steri strips on it and ordered another round of antibiotics. I sure don't need a strange infection. Haven't been able to take my immunosuppressant (MTX) for 2 weeks and it will be another week now. I've been flaring because of it and continue to bite the bullet...sometimes we have no choice :)

I'm still celebrating my good news. Tonight is hubby and my date night...we will end up at one of my favorite places to eat. :)

Robin, I was thinking of you this morning and all you had on your plate.  I just wanted to let you know what a terrific job you do of handling all of this.  It can't be easy.  I also remembered that you didn't tell your children about your concerns the past couple of weeks...only your hubby.  I bet you are glad now!  You saved them a lot of concern, too.  You are doing so well.

 

Having dealt with cancer will always keep that in the back of your mind and I'm glad you are careful and have great doctors that will take you in at a moment's notice...like today. 

 

Just wanted to remind you of what an inspiration you are to all of us.  Your strength, faith, and attitude are tremendous!  :-)

The support of this fibro family is a wonderful thing. I'm also blessed wih great family and friends. My faith is strong and I do believe in the power of prayer...and one day at a time.

Everyone's strength here is an inspiration to me. Fibromites are strong :)
