Does this sound like MCS?

I know Multiple Chemical Sensitivity can come along with fibro - but I have started to get some weird symptoms recently, like shortness of breath, tingling / stinging in throat area and smells are really getting to me, like I can taste the smell...then the smell gets stuck in my throat - also my nostrils are tingling

Does this sound like MCS? has anyone else had this? Im not sure my GP would have ever heard of this, or maybe its anxiety getting the better of me again...I never know if its a real symptom or anxiety.

It could be. Or it could be just anxiety. Or both. A genuine reaction magnified by anxiety. No fun, regardless.

I have that too. When I say that to people, they think I'm crazy lol. But no, I can feel it and it's real!

I can taste smells. That's why I can't drink beer! Lol
I think it's just taste buds that pick it up as you inhale.

To make you feel better you could discuss this with your dr. He may run a couple tests or know exactly what it is.

Most people do not realize that taste is largely smell... that the sense of taste is very reliant on scent.

im not too concerned about it now...my sister, who doesnt have fibro, gets this worse than me...she can't be near anyone with sun cream or stand the smell from wet wipes, or cleaning products...or anything!

Ive just come to realise its just normal and im noticing it more..my throat tingling seems to have subsided for the meantime - just so strange
