Practice breathing and relaxation techniques. Take a deep breath and blow it out slowly through pursed lips..like you are blowing through a straw. You should feel the tension lessen.
I will focus on my feet and try to relax them. Then my legs. Then my arms and hands. Then my shoulders. I do this on up my body. I'm usually very surprised how tight my muscles were. Especially my shoulders and neck. It's like my shoulders are up around my ears!
