Hi, Tylersdad! I'm glad you checked out the fibro forum. There is always a possibility that this is what could be going on with you. But, I do think you need a different doctor. Some doctors are still out there that don't believe fibro is a true illness, even though it's recognized by the American Medical Association, the American College of Rheumatology, the National Institutes of Health, and the World Health Organization...just to name a few. Do look for a board certified Rheumatologist and make sure they treat fibromyalgia before you make an appointment. You can google names of doctors you are interested in and you will be surprised what comes up! Also there are two sites that are pretty accurate with their reviews of doctors....healthgrades.com and vitals.com.
Have you been checked for anemia? I was quite fatigued and was short of breath and just all around felt lousy. My doctor just fluffed it off as being fibro. I kept complaining and then he gave me an inhaler thinking it was allergies. That didn't help either. So I started googling and saw this can happen with anemia. I made an appointment with my doctor and asked to be checked for anemia and, sure enough, that's what the problem was! They found the source of the problem...a bleeding ulcer...and I was put on more iron and now I'm fine. So, since you are seeing a doctor tomorrow, you might ask if they checked for that. It might not have entered their minds.
Here is a link from the Mayo Clinic that shows the symptoms of anemia. You don't have to have all of them but you do have the shortness of breath, fatigue, and headache!

Have you checked out Fibro 101 yet? It's the first thread on the forum. Good links for you would be Symptoms, What Else Could It Be, and A Thorough Explanation of Fibromyalgia.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you better. I'm a Floridian, too....Tampa Bay area....and just love it. Do let us know what you find out because we do care about you. Don't hesitate to ask questions either. I hope to see more of you soon.
