Wow--amazing photos! I agree with Sherrine  that you should submit some of your photos and earn some extra cash. Sometimes the DNR or such puts out magazines like that (or maybe try something like "Birds and Blooms" magazine).

We do hope you'll at least pop in her occasionally.  I think some of us don't always agree with some of the rules, some of the decisions made on posting certain subjects, certain methods we choose to use to deal with fibro, etc., but I, personally, still find this is a helpful forum, despite the differences we sometimes find here.  And maybe these things will change in the future, who knows?

 Right now, I'm thinking this about your leaving, too:   I do hope we see you around sometimes.

I'd like to second the idea of a possible sub-section to the Fibro forum, just for diet/food talk. I felt like I learned a lot when 'food talk' was still allowed, and the suggestions, ideas, comments, I felt, were interesting.

  Would this be "do-able"? I hope so!

Another for food section. Changing my diet has helped me more than any med, even though technically it's not curing anything but it is definitely making life livable for me and lots if others. Rather than turn all people away from even having the option to hearing about diets, give them an area where they can browse or post if they want to go that route. Better to get it here than to go to another site altogether.

I understand the reasoning behind the choices made, and there is a fine line between a helpful thread and one that's spammy or pushy and 'this is THE cure' type threads. Hopefully we can get a section or permission to discuss and help people feel better.

No offense Sherrine, but IBS type symptoms are part of Fibro for most. I have heard numerous women say "if I could just heal my gut, I believe I could get well."
Those are my sentiments exactly.

A recent clinical study found 42 out of 42 patients with fibromyalgia had SIBO. This was 100%! Not even patients with purely IBS had such a high ratio of SIBO and very few of the controls.

Your statement that food has never been shown to affect fibro is inaccurate. All autoimmune disorders are affected by diet. I can back this up with both clinical research and the personal experience of many including my own.

I don't know what 's happened in the past, but can't people move on? New people are joining all the time and are interested in knowing what has helped others. Seems inappropriate to cut a whole topic off because a few were offended.

There will always be people who have no desire to change their lifestyle no matter how sick they are. They'll just take another med to "fix" it. And then complain about their quality of life as they get sicker from the side effects.

"Let food be your medicine and your medicine be your food," so said the ancients. And as smart as moderns think they are, the ancients were right.

I live with a research chemist who works for big pharma and makes the stuff. Neither he nor his colleagues would take the drugs they make. That speaks volumes.

Drugs do not heal. They are a stop gap measure for immediate relief while one looks for answers that will enable one to heal.

Diet is the crucial cornerstone of healing.
