Hi, Browneyes, and welcome! As Robin said, we go through all these tests and they come back normal. Unreal, huh? We start to wonder if we are in our right minds...but we are. Fibro can do really strange things. Some of the weird things that happen to me is feeling like bugs are crawling on me, feel like water is running down my leg, feel "wet" spots that aren't really there, sometimes feel hot spots, too. We have the brain fog (cognitive memory problems), pain in all four quandrants of the body...but not necessarily at the same time, and on and on and on.
I've had the tight throat and actually couldn't swallow at all for a few minutes. That was frightening but I practiced deep breathng and Lamaze breathing to keep me from a major anxiety attack and then I could swallow again. My doctor said the muscles in my throat were in a spasm. A tip I learned was that if I cough, I could swallow again. I guess the coughing helped stop the spasm. Also getting busy and focusing on other things made it go away, too. We really can't do "body checks" or else we will be basket cases. Just get busy with life.
I get the sinus dripping and do occasionally get a sore throat from that. I have acid reflux but I also have Crohn's disease. I just watch what I eat and I do fine.
Do eat a healthy diet, keep moving because if you sit or lay too long you will be stiff as a board and have more pain. I walk daily and sometimes swim as my gentle daily exercise. I also take care of my home and love gardening. These are exercise, too.
Don't stress over it!!! It doesn't help and sure can hurt you. Stress increases your pain. Then you start worrying more and anxiety kicks in. Then you visit Dr. Google who REALLY stresses you out. (There are a lot of creative writers on the Internet. They come off as authorities but don't know squat. No googling allowed....if you want to feel better and get rid of a lot of that anxiety!)
I use ibuprofen with food, Tylenol, magnesium malate, vitamin D3, and a prescription muscle relaxer called Robaxin to help me be in control of the pain and fatigue. In Fibro 101 there are links about the vitamin and supplement that I mentioned and how these work in the body. Quite a few members have gotten help with these products, too.
Speaking of Fibro 101...be sure to read it. It's the first thread on the forum. There are links to good info about fibro and you will learn a lot there. The very first link is an interview with Dr. Daniel Clauw who is a specialist with fibro and does a lot of research, too. He explains what they think is causing this illness and that helps. Other good links to start out with are called Symptoms and A Thorough Explanation of Fibromyalgia. Also a great link that I read frequently is about maintaining a positive attitude when you have chronic pain. All the links are good so do read them.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you better. Don't hesitate to ask questions because we are here to help you. Hope to hear more from you soon.
