Zyrtec? Please?

I take it daily for allergies. It doesn't make me sleepy like benadryl does. You take it once a day.
Any other questions?

I would doubt the Zyrtec is causing the ear fluid retention.

Isn't it an OTC for allergies? I don't think it is usually for cold relief, but I could be wrong.

If the fluid retention continues a problem after 3-4 days, you should see your doctor.

This is my take on medications. Many people are sensitive and experience side effects. The decision really is whether or not the benefit outweighs the unpleasant side effects. The only way to discover that is to try it. If the side effects are worse than the help it gives, then discontinue it. No lasting harm, no foul.

I cannot do OTC painkillers, except tylenol. I know this because when I take ibuprofen or aleve for more than a few days, I start to have gastric distress and diarrhea. The anti-inflammatories inflame my Ulcerative Colitis and Crohns. So, I don't take those meds. But the only way I discovered this was trying them.

It doesn't seem to affect me negatively in any way.
My mother is very drug sensitive and it makes her sleepy.

I take a Zyrtec daily as part of my regimen to ease any allergy symptoms. I don't have any problems at all.
