So the question is could FMS simply be a deficiency – if so why has it not been diagnosed or cured yet ? I think the answer is yes FMS is likely a simple magnesium deficiency –
Magnesium is needed for the body to synthesise Vitamin D so it causes a d deficiency too
Cause of Chronic magnesium deficiency - Fibromyaligia Cfs MS
If a person has extreme mental or physical stress, magnesium is released from their blood cells and goes into the blood plasma. From there, it's excreted into the urine.Chronic stress depletes their body of magnesium even further, leading to an acute magnesium deficiency . The greater your level of stress, the greater the loss of magnesium. The lower your initial magnesium level is, the more reactive to stress you become, and the higher your level of adrenaline in stressful situations. Higher adrenaline causes greater loss of magnesium from cells, creating a vicious cycle.

There are three main reason why it has not been diagnosed
1- only 1% of magnesium is stored in the blood so it generally cannot be picked up with a simple blood test. - so even if you are chronically low in magnesium a Blood test may indictae that your magnesium levels are normal
2- Magnesium is hard for the body to absorb – it cannot be absorbed in large doses and needs a other nutrients to aid it absorption
