last day at work tomorrow

its my last day tomorrow - finally have worked my notice!

Its going to be an emotional day, as I have been there for 11 years...saying goodbye to some good friends and colleagues.

Its been a tiring week all round - and I feel like the emotions of tomorrow is going to drain me

Hope I can hold out - plus there will be cake so thats one good thing :o)

I'm sure it will be a memorable day. My M-I-L recently retired, but does occasionally stop by her old job for a visit--maybe something to consider?

Hope you have a great celebration there. The cake sounds delicious! I'm sure you're looking forward to some well deserved R&R. Congratulations! :)

Try to relax and enjoy the day. If it gets too emotional for you find a quiet place to reset your emotions.

Enjoy your day tomorrow! Perhaps you can meet your coworkers for lunch from time to time. This is a new beginning for you and I hope it will show an improvement of symptoms for you. Wishing you the best!!!

Well, Wackers, how does it feel to be a lady of leisure?

I hope yesterday went well for you. It's hard to say goodbye, I know. But it is a good decision for you. Now you can pace yourself better and also be able to spend more time with your family.

I did the same thing. I knew I was giving up my career but it was the right decision for me and I have never regretted it either.

I hope this really helps with your pain and fatigue, too. Feel better!

I also quit my career, about 4 years ago. I miss what I did but realized it just wasn't possible any longer. Good luck, and relax.

well on my first day as lady of leisure has not gone well...had terrible fatigue and severe ibs pains radiating into kidney area (what I think is IBS anyway - posted on IBS forum just in case)
This pain is becoming a bit more dominant and frequent, so going on Mon to get it checked i think...
It totally wiped me out - to the point I couldnt get up off sofa or go anywhere, my poor 3 year old had to watch dvds all day :o(

ps - the cake was gluten free also
