Sherrine, what a great post, so positive! Even though I am more or less and "old pro" with this disease, I forget sometimes what I need to do to feel really better, not just ok if I take enough pain medication better. there is no drug like a natural endorphin. Okay there is but..it really does not help as much in the long run.
Diane, I am so glad I brought a smile to your face! :)
Even though nothing has really changed, I feel so much better and I feel I found this forum at the perfect time. As was mentioned in another thread, some chronic illness threads are remarkably lacking in hope and positive attitudes, and this one is really different.
Also want to mention that I led a very full life after I was diagnosed, but it was different. I had to stretch and swim first thing every day, and I had to take addictive medication, and I had to really control my diet. But, I have traveled extensively, produced a comedy show, fell in love and did quite a few wonderful things post diagnosis. You may not feel "normal" but you certainly can feel better.
