bra recommendations?

All winter I just wore camisols with the shelf because I had about 20 layers on, so a bra wasn't really necessary. Now that the weather has warmed up, I've started wearing regular bras again for the past few days. And my ribs feel bruised. I don't have underwire or padding or anything, just a basic cotton one from target. Does anyone have any tips for what to wear that won't hurt me?

I'm a die-hard fan of Bali Comfort Revolution bras. After a lifetime of wearing underwires, I had to stop because of the chest pain and irritation that came with my Fibro. It took me several grueling hours in a lingerie department trying on half of the bras there before I found something that worked, and once I found it, I bought the same one in about 6 different colors. I like model numbers 3484 and 3488 (the former has smooth cups, the latter has thin foam pads, which I like for modesty, under T-shirts and such). The straps are thick and padded and there are no irritating tags. The hook-and-eye closure is far enough up the strap so that even on the last hook it doesn't dig into your skin -- on some bras, that last hook is right on the edge and there's not enough material to keep the hook/eye from touching your skin. The Bali bras only come in "smart sizes" (XS-S-M-L-XL-XXL) because they're so stretchy, which takes away some of the guesswork of number-letter. Just buy a size up from what they say you need -- according to their measurements, I'm a small, but when I tried it on, the small was tight so I bought the medium.

Shoulder injury prevents me from being able to fasten/ twist around bras that fasten in the back.(I am single)
Front closures tend to pop open at most inopportune time. I wear pull on like the Genie.. not enough support to suit me but better than no bra.
