We've had a very cold and snowy winter, followed by weeks of cool, damp weather. Whew--it seems like this has gone on for a couple of years--just endless.
My fibro has been really kicked up throughout my body; in fact, I even went to the doctor to have things checked out. Every area of my body has been affected and things are even more weird than usual. However, my doctor seems to think it's nothing serious, so it's relieved my mind, somewhat. He said he will recheck when I go for my yearly physical in a few weeks. I do feel encouraged!
I really believe that if it's about 60 degrees or warmer and dry, things improve, at least for me. I've seen such improvement for years, and I'm nowhere near a desert.
For some reason, when it's hot and humid outside, my fibro doesn't flare much, usually. It's the cold, damp stuff that always gets me--every year, for as long as I can recall. My doctor encouraged me years ago to move to a warmer climate, but easier said than done.
Ljm2014: My breathing has been more shallow, too. I get this yearly in early Spring. It's hanging in there this year and I think it's due to the cool, damp weather. I've had numerous tests on it, but no answers. One thing I've noticed about that is that it seems to also tie in with my sinuses. I wonder if they might be a tad 'blocked' from dealing with the cold?
That's just my little theory, though, but I sure feel better the more I can clear my sinuses and let them drain. Drinking lots of water has helped a little, too, as well as steaming (VERY carefully, obviously) over boiling water.
I guess the good news is that it's gets warmer this weekend!
