Toilet Paper Anyone????

Ah, toilet paper. What would we do without it? I need to use the bathroom frequently because of other health issues so I make sure I won't run out of toilet paper. I buy the double rolls in large packages from Walmart. I made my monthly trip to Walmart but forgot to check if I needed more toilet paper so, when in doubt, I buy it.

I got home and there was toilet paper on the shelving I have in the garage so I was looking where to put this large package on the floor. Well, I came across two more large packages on the floor, plus I had a couple of packages on the shelves! smhair Because of not checking first and also not remembering what I have bought in the past I now have the equivilent of......drum roll, please....270 rolls of toilet paper. shocked tongue Guess I won't have to worry if a hurricane comes through here. Isn't fibro fog just wonderful? turn

Haha, wow Sherrine. That's a lot of tp. Well, at least you won't ever have to dig out the old Sears catalogs. smilewinkgrin

On a similar note, I bought toilet CLEANER the other day at Walmart. When I got home, I realized I already had three packages that had gotten pushed back on a top shelf. So between the two of us, I think we have all of the bathroom bases covered.

And I did the same thing with Nutmeg once. I couldn't remember if I had some, so I bought some to be on the safe side. Since I had nutmeg on my mind the next time I went shopping, I thought I was out so I bought more. I think I did it one more time. To this day, my daughter tells me: "Mom. We do not need nutmeg." I had enough to last me a couple years. This is why I now keep a list of my spices and staples (I did the same thing with brown sugar - I still have a couple pounds of it)

I do that with books and computer games. I'll get home from shopping to find I've already bought it. A few times I found out I was already in the middle of the book or just played the game!

Lol. Think everyone has done this. Not toilet paper but things that I don't use much if I see it I want be able to remember so I will have more than I need for a good while.

I know where to come when I run out. Lol For some reason I like to collect boxes. I had several of them thinking I could put things in them. I never wanted to throw shoe boxes away.

I have to confess that with me (or at least my family), it's boxes of tissues (especially during cold season), dental floss, and (for some odd reason) cinnamon. I don't think we'll ever run out of any of these!!

ak angel: I tend to have some boxes around, too. But they sure can come in handy sometimes. :)

Its always better to have extras..my husband used to laugh at me, when i saw a sale i would buy 2 of things...now he shops more and he sees a sale he buys 6..he buys back ups for things...so if my toaster goes..he just goes to the garage and brings one in ...its a total mystery to me what might be in my garage, but i know there is tp. : )

I bought a pair of Skecher's walking shoes for summer. When I looked at my summer stuff I had them in blue and black and do not remember buying them last year. What up????
I've poured my husband a glass of milk then turn around and pour him another. I try to hide these blunders but I was busted when I dropped him off at the hardware store, I was to go to the grocery store then swing by and pick him up. Well I went home without him or the groceries I bought.
Sometimes you just gotta laugh about it all.
Fibro fog. Gotta love it.

LOL, Sherrine, you are set when the next disaster hits!

Couchtater, I love my Kindle for that reason, if I try to buy a book that I already bought it'll tell me "You already purchased that book on ______date" stopped me from make a lot of double purchases. I used to clean houses for a woman who bought doubles of a lot of her books, I benefited there, she'd give me the duplicates!

I count on my smart phone to remind me of things that I'm likely to forget. But it doesn't always help, like when I forgot to pick up my son in town and drove the 30 miles home without him. Thankfully my saint of a friend brought him home for me.

LOL Sherrine! I discovered I have six jars of peanut butter for the Hubs in the pantry just the other day. I'm allergic and can't eat it so I guess I figured he was chowing it down. It will probably expire before it ever get's eaten.

Maybe this Halloween you can revert back to the sixties and decorate a few trees in your neighborhood!
