Hi
I have noticed one not so pleasant symptom I have is itchy legs. Does anyone

Thanks

I tried an antihistamine yesterday but need to see which one it was. It didn't help much Will look when I get home about
to take my daily walk

Ok, so I looked to see what I took yesterday and it was generic loratadine.
I also had diphenhydramine (generic for Benedryl) so am trying that today.
Not sure about
the drug classes.

I'm fortunate that Curel Daily Moisture lotion really helps me with this problem. I also try to get busy doing something that will take my mind off it because the more I scratch the worse it itches. I try to avoid things I have to ingest if possible.

Sometimes our body will signal pain as itching. I've found that ice packs calm my itching.

Thank you!
My legs have been itching off and on since the fibro symptoms started, and today the itch
moved from my thigh to my legs. So probably a fibro symptom rather than a medication reaction.

If varicose veins run in your family, it could be as simple as varicose veins about
to pop out. My legs always itched like crazy when one of my veins was ready to pop.

They do, but I dont have them yet~! I did notice that almost all the itching is on my leg
which has consistent fibro symptoms. Probably a correlation.

I hope you never get them. I had to have sclerotherapy done on both of my legs last year, and I still have serious problems with circulation.

Hi Bella
I tried everything to stop the itching. My doc finally gave me a RX for Hydroxyzine HCL 25 mg. It kicks in stops the insane itching right away. It's in a different class of antihistamines. Class 2 a different class than OTC antihistamines.

I have had FM for many years. There are many reasons for itching please check out the webmd site. All great advice from everyone on this post.
Hope u find relief soon.

I use celery root juice for allergy and itching. I just buy celery root in the grocery store, peel it and make juice. It is not a very delicious drink, but better than keep scratching, very helpful. Have anyone tried it ?

Especially prone to itching in the winter. I use baby oil.

One thing that helps me is putting on lotion as soon as I get out of the shower and my skin is still damp. It seems to help keep the moisture in. I do neck to toe lotion every single day, and it helps keep the itching down.
This isn't the lotion applicator I have, but I use a similar one to help me get to the hard to reach spots:

I also take a non-drowsy antihistamine every day. If I miss it, the itching is almost unbearable.
