Hip spasm?

Ouch....ok my hips have been stiff and sore, but ok...while i was cooking dinner, my right hip seemed to go into spasm..it is so painful
Like a grabbing sensation...not in the joint itself...but front and back, whole right side

Looking it up...says to rest, alternate heat and cold..so i did twenty with ice packs..and will do heat next...will try lasering it later

Does anyone have experience with this? I had some wrap around pain on that side earlier this year..and had some therapy on it..

It kinda came on quickly from just being sore to grabbing pain..i had done some stretching earlier ..yikes , hip pain seems worse than pain in other places.

I don't get hip spasms, but hip pain. I only use the voltaren gel.
