I have been miserable for 5 years and every time I went to the doctor they wanted to do blood work..but then they said that it must be something viral....So I went and got a second opinion and found out i have Fibromyalgia... They put me on Lyrica and for a couple weeks the symptoms seem to have gotten better...but now they are back full force! What can I do to help??

what dose is your Lyrica? I'm been taking for about two months (150mg a day) and also feel that it is slowly losing it's effectiveness. That's my fear. It worked so well initially, but I've heard that it wears off over time.

They started me off on the lowest does... I hope it doesn't wear off that fast!

I'm 23 as well, almost 24. I just started the lyrica but haven't noticed a difference yet, I'm hoping I will soon. I'm also on tramadol and zanaflex but I haven't taken the zanaflex yet.

Im taking Lyrica and serequel...or however you spell it. I just want to get better...But nothing seems to help at all

It takes time to find the balance. Try to listen to your body and pace yourself.

Hi Nicole,

Welcome to the forum. I always feel bad for people getting fibro when they are so young. I was in my 40's when I got it. But you can live a fulfilling life in spite of fibromyalgia...

Check out the first thread on the forum titled "fibro 101". It has all kinds of interesting information on it. I think you will be happy you checked it out.

I sure do hope that you feel better soon. Keep posting and sharing as it really does help.
