Foam Rollers...Really Funny!

Ljm brought up the topic of foam rollers and other equipment. Well, we had the funniest thread on this and I do look like a complete idiot but still laugh my head off over it. So I thought I'd post a link to it and give all of you a good laugh. Enjoy!

That is too funny! Thanks for the laugh I do.know what rollers are though, I have used the ones that come with the steam thing on my own hair actually.

Now to the point lol... I have read that the foam rollers are not recommended for fibro muscles, however... Just like i cannot use the tennis ball..i found a softer ball that will release my hip trigger points..thank goodness..this has saved me several times this week...

But i am looking for a fibro friendly version of a therapeutic foam roller.. I may try out the one from melt method...or at least call them and have a discussion...but i thought maybe someone else had tried them... : )

I use my hands most of the time. There are a few areas that I have to resort to a tennis ball. I just gut it out. It pays off for me to put up with extra pain for a short time to rid myself of constant pain in an area.

Most of us are very sensitive when it comes to our skin. I have to put velour towels on the chairs I sit in because the fabric of the furniture hurts me. I even had the skin rub so badly on my arms that I was bleeding before I started using the towels so you are not alone. The fabric isn't rough fabric either.

I use a great product called Sombra. It comes in a jar or a roll on. I love the roll on because my hands don't get messy. I keep one on my night stand. I don't even have to get out of bed if I need to use it. It's all natural and is deep penetrating. Plus the odor is better...smells like grapefruit to me...and the odor doesn't last. I can use it and then leave the house without smelling like a medicine cabinet.

about links that don't seem to 'work':  I've noticed that when I want to post a link, I have to use the "Post Reply" button, rather than use the "Add A Quick Reply" box.  The link then 'works' for some reason, and it will show up in color: https://www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=24&m=1381166  If I use the "Add A Quick Reply" box and post a link, it won't show up in color and won't 'work' when one clicks on it.

I surely don't understand why it wouldn't work the same in both ways of responding(??)

Anyway,  I'm going to dream of my hair being full of all kinds of exercise equipment tonight.

Sherrine, I just read "Sombra" as "Sombrero." I read the whole paragraph, trying to figure out why it was called Sombrero, lol. I guess you can wear it over the foam rollers.

I don't get on Facebook so I don't know much about "likes". I think the way we do things here is wonderful because we treat all members the same, don't show preference to anyone. This way we all get the support we need and are able to help others.

All the threads are important too...especially to the person who started the threads. There are a lot of good posts and info on these threads, too. We are all so different when it comes to this illness so what might not help one could really help another. So, I think the way the forum is set up is is the best way, personally.
