Fibromyalgia and cataracts

Fibromyalgia and Cataracts. I am 59 years old and have had fibromyalgia for many years. I need to have cataract surgery and would appreciate if someone who has had the surgery could share their experience with me. How did your cataract surgery go? Were there any complications? Were the complications related to your fibromyalgia? Were any medications given during or after surgery? Any reactions to medications? Any other information that may help me prepare for or recover from the surgery? Thank you for taking time to help me.

Hi, at the age of 40 I had a cataract surgery on my left eye. I had no complication after it because I followed the doctor's orders to the T. But that was easy to do because my right eye is blind so I couldn't walk around any way or read after surgery. I only need glasses to read now which is great.

At the age of 45 I had the cataract removed from my right eye. Did not go so well because I was reading a book after surgery. Did you know that when one eye moves the other eye moves in the same direction. I didn't.

At the age of 49 I had laser surgery to remove the cataracts from both my left and right eye. It is possible to get a second cataract after having cataract surgery..ugh.
