Like many others here, good sleep is challenging for me too. I'm usually in bed about 9 hrs every night, but I only really sleep about 7 to 7.5 hrs of that. And it's all broken up, not in nice long stretches. But it used to be much much worse, so I'll gladly take what I'm getting now.
My Dr also told me to try to avoid napping during the day so I'd sleep better at night. But that wasn't enough. I now use a combination of things: Gabapentin, muscle relaxer, and melatonin about 20 mins before bedtime; CPAP machine; body pillow to curl around; and sleep number bed with dual zone climate control to adjust firmness as my body needs for pain and because I tend to sleep very hot (where of course dear hubby is cold) and I need the circulating cool air to avoid waking up in a puddle of sweat! LOL
Have a blessed day!
