I forgot to take my gabapentin and Cymbalta the past two days and today I was super frustrated and angry for no reason. For example, I came out of the shower and a laundry basket was in my way to NG closet so I punted it as hard as I could. Then later the Internet pissed me off while typing a college research paper so I through my wireless mouse hard as I could at the ground.
I pretty much was scaring myself at that point so I went upstairs and fell asleep. I didn't want to stress my pregnant wife out any!
Is this common to fibro or maybe due to missed medicine doses?

Sounds like the Cymbalta. Try to remember to take it when you should. Get a pill box, that is what I did.
Hope you feel better soon.

I'm on cymbalta and neurontin also. When I forget mine I have awful nightmares. I was on cymbalta once before for tailbone pain but stopped because my husband got hurt on the job and had to stop working so we lost our only insurance. I couldn't afford the prescript
ion. Anyway, the nightmares were so bad I was afraid to go to sleep at night. I was also very emotional and depressed. Said once I got them out of my system I wouldn't take them any more but here I am.

If you and your Doctor decide to take you off such medication it would be done very slowly. Do all the medications help you feel more normal? I did not have anger symptoms when I came off Lyrica but I came off slowly. Still had some withdrawal symptoms - chills and I was itchy. If your medications help and you can afford them, why stop taking them.

Thanks for all the replies. I took my medicine today and my mood is 100% better! I wrote that last night in a fbro fog mixed with ambien! Unfortunately the medicines only slightly improve my pain. Effexor was by far the worst with withdrawals even missing one dose, but yesterday scared me! I honestly had the urge to just go around and break my own stuff for no reason!

Army fibro- so glad your feeling better. Maybe now that you know how it feels to miss doses you won't forget to take them. I call it a learning lesson. I put my meds in a schedule pill box. It really helps me keep up what I need to take. They have ones with timers on them too or you could put it on your cell phone to remind you. Irritability is one of the main side effects of withdrall to those meds.

Anger was one of the key things that had caught my wife's eye with me. Before i found out about
this i would have real bad anger moments. I could not control it. I would go from angry to deppressed real fast. I still have my moments since i found about
having Fibro. I never had anger out breaks with meds though. Then again i have gone from a couple different ones. Now i take just two meds. One in the morning and the other in the morning and evening time to help relax my body. Sorry if this had nothing to do with the subject i say the anger part and i just had to reply

I would say yes. I've tried to get off of gabapentin several times and when I do go without it more than a day or two, my anxiety and emotions go through the roof. I have what I call "electical pains" where I feel like I'm plugged into a socket and those come back without the gabapentin also. It seems like that electrical feeling extends to my emotions and I get very zappy.

Fibro alone made me short fused barely any patience as it was, missing med doses could exacerbate it worse.
