New location for Fibro pain... same you?

Hey folks

It's been a while since I've visited the Fibro forum. Hope all are feeling well and on their way to managing it better. Today I got new location for pain, located at my right hip waistline. I left work having a pretty good... then all of sudden this pain acts up. At first it didn't come to mind that this is work of Fibro... but then as I stopped by the grocery store the pain continued to worsen. It feels like I bumped myself into the corner edge of a bedroom dresser. Yeah, ouch! Got home and realized "this is Fibro". So i took 2 Aleve and its much better but still sore and achey. I also took a hot shower and applied some coconut/peppermint oil to give it some heat to comfort it.

Have you had this pain in this location like mine? I'm suprised it didn't do a symmetrical .. right AND LEFT SIDE.

Yep thats a regular spot for me, could be a trigger point..i was able to release this by using a rubber ball...lay on the floor with the ball under the hip....the ball digs in and seems to release the stuck fascia.... Until i learned to do these releases i was in seeing a physical therapist a couple times a year for this...

I will attempt to try and find a small ball, soft enough to do what you recommended... having said that... this location is also "reaching upwards" toward my rib/kidney area... I wasn't expecting that ya know!?!

The tennis ball was to hard for me, caused pain to worsen but a softer rubber ball works without worsening pain...yes it radiates up towards rib or down at different times
