I was just diagnosed with Fibro last May and for the most part I think I get it. But when the craziest things happen that just don't make sense I kind of let my mind get the best of me. I've been going through the numbness/tingling in the feet, toes and fingers for the past few days which doesn't happen very often. Today my arms and legs are very shaky, fatigued like but the rest of my body doesn't feel fatigued. Anyone else ever feel this way?

Just a question, have they checked your d levels..

I ask this a lot..when i thought my fibro was getting worse..they finally checked my d levels and it was way too low..it had so many strange symptoms of its own.. That passed when my levels finally got back up...

I of course still have fibro, but less pain and shakiness .

if your vitamin b12 is low you will get the odd numbing feeling too.

I get just what you're describing - in fact, I'm getting it more and more in my arms, and it really is a pain, isn't it?? It feels like I've been working out with too many weights or something - as if ;)

Take a look at "Fibro 101," our first thread on the list, and I'll bet you'll find this symptom there (this is a great thread, for all kinds of information on Fibro) - I just can't remember right now, but we do get the weirdest sensations...

We're here for you, so I hope you'll continue to post!

I do get buzzing in my hand that comes and goes. I used to always wake up at night with numb hands. For me that was due to carpel tunnel. I also have some Osteoarthritis in my wrists. I wear wrist braces to bed and they don't go numb. I don't get weakness, just bad headaches.

Do write down your symptoms to discuss with your Doctors. I do it so I don't forget something. I read somewhere that Doctors only listen to about the first 2 minutes of what you need to tell them. It really isn't true with all Doctors. I have a Doctor who listens but has so many pain patients and is often yawning. We are draining the Doctors but that is the profession they chose.

Welcome to forum AR Girl.

I've had fibro over 15 yrs now and I still get the numbness/tingling and fatigued feelings on and off. Sometimes it's just in hands, wrists, arms & legs and other times it's all over. Almost always when I over do things and sometimes who knows confused confused why?

Thanks for your replies! I am taking vitamin b daily and I was taking vitamin d also until my levels came back dangerously high and was told to stop immediately. That was a month ago. I have cut back on my gabapentin and now the numbness and tingling have increased so maybe this is the cause? The tingling is weird. It's just a tingle here and there on different places of my body, not a constant tingle. Does anyone else ever have this?

I went through a period where I felt like I could barely hold my toothbrush up to brush my teeth, so I get what you are saying. I also still deal a lot with tingling in my hands and feet (and now this crazy burning in my feet).

gabapentin definitely helps with neuropathic pain for me (the tingling/ electric feelings), if I try to cut back too much I definitely see that pain increase, so that may well be what you are seeing. Try upping it back up and see what happens.
