Hi,
This is my first time on this forum. What a wonderful supportive place it is!
I have post polio syndrome from having had polio as a child. Thirteen years ago I was told I would probably be in a wheelchair permanently within 2 years. I had serious, frequent, life threatening heart arrhythmias that would last for days, severe foot pain and terrible fatigue not to mention depression. I had to give up my 25 year career as a Personal Trainer / Medical Exercise Specialist and basically 'stop exercising'! It was horrible....all that I loved had to stop.
In the past 13 years, my education went far beyond nutrition and exercise. I learned how to think differently, eat far better (raw plant based), exercise very specifically and somatically, meditate, rest and visualize....every day. I have learned so much that I feel I can now truly give my body what it needs to heal every day no matter what it is telling me. I have very few symptoms now. When they do show up, they are mild and don't last long. I know how well a body can heal itself given the right nurturing but nothing else is to come first. You have to come first every day.
I know I can learn from you as new symptoms will come, I'm sure. I'm not getting any younger!!!
I just want to say that no matter what is happening to you now, just be patient and loving towards yourself.....learn as much as you can about healing your body, rest and be patient. Nothing happens overnight.
I added "newbie" to your title so your thread would get noticed more. Debbie
