I have been dealing with bronchitis for almost 2 weeks. I had alt of fibro pain until then. Now the pain is coming back. Has anyone else experienced less pain when you are ill? Maybe it was just a coincident.

Were you resting a lot more? So less muscle fatigue and therefore less pain temporarily....or were you on meds for bronchitis that may have masked some of the pain?

Bronchitis can be so nasty...

I think your body was distracted for awhile and now that you're feeling better it's beginning to fuss again.

I am just on antibiotics and haven't be able to get rid of it. Could be I had more bed rest. Crazy body!

Maybe the antibiotics cleared up a part of your problem. I have never noticed while sick that pain reduced in anyway. Do hope you can get over the bronchitis. It is horrible when you have sickness on top of all the other regular stuff that we live with.

I also have bronchitis and I have a sinus infection. I am on an antibiotic and prednisone with an inhaler. I think the prednisone has actually helped with the fibro pain. In the past when I have had really bad flares my neurologist put me on steroids to get the flare under control. It is hard to be sick and have fibro. I find my fibro will flare about a week or do after a sickness or injury of some type! It's a double whammy😢

I really hope you start to feel better soon!!

The same thing happened to me! I had bronchitis and a sinus infection…was resting so much and sleeping so much that I was in less fibro pain. Went the whole week without needing tramadol at all.

Yes, absolutely. It seems like it's both less wear and tear on the old muscles (because I'm doing less) and also distraction, but I notice it almost every time I get sick.

Hope your pain doesn't get too bad.
