Well, I took my daughter to MUSC on Monday and we saw a wonderful doctor. He says she doesn't have cronic migraine but cronic headache. Which means she has a headache everyday and if she gets stressed it can turn into a migraine. So he gave her something to take before bed that is going to help the headaches and something for when she gets a migraine. Thank you all for your prayers and positive thoughts!!

Yesterday my daughter and I went to Myrtle Beach and while we were stopped at a stop light we were rear ended and hit so hard we were pushed into the car in front of us!!! Ugh!!!! Needless to say I'm in severe pain today and she has a migraine from the stress so please continue with the positive thoughts and prayers.

Most likely true and from stress. One time I had a headache that lasted six months. The headache started when I was on a stressful conference call at work (customer yelling at me). Went from zero to 10 pain in matter of minutes.

During that time I took so much advil that it messed my stomach up pretty bad. Anyway, a good physical therapist finally fixed me with great work around the back of my neck (tension headache area).

OH No, I'm so sorry to hear about you being rear ended, I hope they had insurance. Go in and get checked for whip lash.

Good news on your daughter being treated for her headaches, I hope the new rx works for her. Having been one that suffered daily headaches and 4 or 5 migraines a month a couple years ago I understand how she feels. My dr put me on verapamil for my high blood pressure, the only side effect from it was no more headaches, I've had literally maybe 5 headaches in the past 3 years. I hope your daughters new rx worked like mine did.

Sorry about the accident though : ( ..hope you can take a litlle time to get over that..

Our neighbor got rear ended last week..girl that hit him was paying no attention to driving at all : (

Hope you can recover from it very quickly.

Hi Betsy,

So sorry to hear what you're going through. What has helped me with my migraines is massage and a good chiropractor. You might consider taking your daughter to a reputable chiropractor for a free consultation. I've heard through the years that when our necks are out of alignment this can also cause migraines.

Betsey, I'm so sorry! Accidents can do a number on us. Hopefully your and your daughter's pain will subside soon. It's frustrating when people just aren't paying attention behind the wheel.

I'm glad you found a good doctor and that your daughter isn't getting migraines all of the time. Headaches are bad enough but I think can be controlled better.

I hope both of you have a much better day today.

Thanks so much everyone!!! I'm going to call the chiropractor on Monday. I can't tell you all how much I appreciate just knowing you're there and you all care. It's a really good feeling. Hope you all are having pain free weekends. 😊

We dislike our own pain as adults, but really hate when our kids suffer!

Oh dear, how awful.
I was rear ended when stopped by a car going thirty mph a year and a half ago. I already had fibro for fourteen yrs but the whiplash added a heap of issues, which I still have.
Please do not ignore any lingering pain. Educate yourself on whiplash issues and don't hesitate to see a dr if pain is not lessened in a weeks time.

I'm glad you're comfortable with your daughter's doctor. I hate that she has these headaches. I do too, and it can be a juggling act with everything else going on with my body. lol

Hope you both recover from the accident quickly.
