Ozone Therapy?

I'm going to be seeing my endodontist for the fifth time next week to try to take care of an old root canal that has an infection down into my jaw. She has put various antibiotics into the area.

I've heard that infected root canals can cause arthritis symptoms among other syndromes.

Has anyone gone through this? Have any of you heard of ozone therapy to help take care of it?

I do wish you well with your teeth. My jaw is in wretched pain today. I had 2 root canals several years ago. I just wrote about my current infection in my outer ear. My regular Dentist cannot see anything with my teeth that would cause much pain. My Nurse Practitioner is confident that the Dentist could see a problem through x-rays.

There are over a 100 types of arthritis. People can have a reactive arthritis. Arthritis can flare up when you have an infection. Your whole body has trouble when you have an infection.

I thought my pain might be from sinuses but it was all checked out and there are no more investigations to do.

I have not heard of ozone therapy.

Do be sure to eat lots of a good quality yogurt or take probiotics when on antibiotics. They rid of both good and bad bacteria.

Hi Loring,

I read your other post too. I'm so sorry to hear what you're going through. It's odd that my former dentists did not see any signs of infection in my x-rays. The root canal is at least 10 years old. My new dentist seems to be more thorough. He's the one who suggested that I see an endodontist.

Loring, is your jaw pain located in the area where you had a root canal? If so, you might want to get a second opinion at a dentist who is total body wellness. For example, a dentist who is concerned about mercury fillings.
