This is one thing my husband does for me as well. Sometimes it is rubbing my head. Other times it is just lightly rubbing my fingers, hand or arm. It relaxes me SO much.
When the physical therapist was working me yesterday he commented on how big the knots were in my shoulder area. He was applying acupressure to try and release the tension. It is my favorite part of PT. LOL. If I could afford massages I would be there every week. Or if my insurance paid for regular acupressure treatments. That would be awesome!

tammy,
This may or may not help ..... I discovered that sometimes, if my husband will work with me, he can relax me somewhat during a flair and it really helps. I am EXTREMELY sensitive. However, he has a very light touch and if he very lightly touches me or just snuggles with me and lets me relax, it helps. It's when he tries to hard that it becomes uncomfortable. If he and I can just relax together it helps me a lot.
When that isn't working, it's always heat for me as my last resort. I also have to get rid of anything that I can "feel" touching me - clothing, etc. I'm the Princess with the Pea. I have certain comfort clothing that I use.
My last resort is NSAIDs. I can have poor reactions to them because of my IBS, but they do help.
Rough week this week for me as well. Combo of the weather, the job and my Fibro and CRPS warring with each other. I have been very good about stretching, but still feel like crap. I am trying very hard to remember there are good days too. Once this rain ends for a bit, things will get better.
