My Husband and I had a car accident last summer. A person in opposing traffic decided not to wait in the left turn lane and pulled out in our path to cut across to a side street. The driver made no attempt to stop, actually sped up. My Husband tried to stop but the car ran into ours and spun around and was coming toward my door. It finally stopped. The cars were locked together but thankfully my side was not severely pushed in. I lose consciousness when frightening things happen. I recall the car pulling into our lane but I have no recollection of it when it was right in front of us. I became alert again when the impact happened. I began to get chest pains at the scene. We had to cab back home from quite a distance. I then went to our ER. I had bad seat belt injuries but my heart was OK. They healed in about 3 weeks. I used some calendula cream to help heal the bruises.
For whatever reason my body just shuts down for a span. I have had 2 other bad accidents. This accident pretty much flushed the small benefits I had with Physiotherapy for many years, trying to get better from previous accidents.
I am not OK yet but am trying. I am going to a pool program again, in a therapeutic pool. I keep walking. I sure hope that you continue to have few side effects from the accident and it is nice to read that you all walked away.
