So, has anyone had to relocate and noticed that their fibro was better in some locations? We moved to NW Florida where it rains a lot more and I have felt so much worse!!!!! I wonder if it's coincidence or the frequent rain. If we get a stretch of (rare) weather where it's clear and about 70-80, I am fine!!!  We vacationed in south florida in the spring. I felt like my old self. It was warm but not humid. This hot, humid, summer weather always gets me! If I had a lot of money, I'd move to San Diego or Hawaii. I hear the weather there is the most stable in the US.  Is anybody from San Diego on this forum??? LOL............. It's a shame that the place with the best weather is too expensive for most people to afford.

I live in MN and have noticed that when the weather gets humid and or we have low pressure I feel much worse. It's not the only cause of pain, of course, but it certainly has a negative affect.

Quality of life is important. Health is but one factor. Money is another. The country versus Urban versus Suburban argument. Like-minded people, institutions, support network all matter. Weather, geographical locations, rain versus sun are all less important to me, personally, than other things.

So, weather alone would NOT precipitate a move for me.

Jeanneac I live in very hot, dry (usually) Southern Ca. But any weather changes really bother me. We are in a terrible drought but we do get periods of high wind and sometimes high humidity. I get increased pain and headaches when one of these weather fronts comes through.

Weather was just one of many reasons that we decided to move here. I don't think I could take another Midwest winter. I might be uncomfortable here with the weather changes but we have beautiful winters. Cold weather makes me feel sick all the time.

I live in North Georgia and the weather's not too harsh. But when the summer storms roll through it really does a number on me.

Dessert climate, hot and dry sure make me feel better..hubby would have moved us in a minute...but our kids are near by.. So i just would not choose it...

I can feel wind or cold or wet negatively..not as sure with humidity, but i sure think heat and humidity saps my energy..

Anyway.. I do not think there s a perfect place..san diego always sounds pretty good but we are east coasters..

I take some meds, use topicals and other self help measures..

I live in Deep South (Georgia and Mississippi - not recommended), and weather sure affects my pain. I've lived in Japan longer than anywhere though, similar to southern weather. Been to Hawaii several times, San Diego, lived in San Francisco area way back. Inland from San Francisco would be my top pick for weather! But, alas, it'd be tough financially. Costs too high there. We are planning to follow the weather in small travel trailer when we retire, IF health allows! Weather matters a lot to me!
