For those who can't tolerate scratchy sheets

Some of us have issues with scratchy clothes and sheets. After six years of using the same bed sheets, they began to tear. I needed new ones.

After buying four sets of sheets from various stores, washing them, and finding they became scratchy after washing them using the instructions provided, I found some that work!

They are sheets made with bamboo. It says on the small card included in the package that cotton sheets are generally treated with formaldehyde and theirs are not. Even after washing they feel silky soft.

I have some shirts made with bamboo. They are very soft.

I use flannel sheets yr round. I can't tolerate any of the regular sheets. BUT, I have bought bamboo socks from Kohl's for the past few yrs and they are so soft. I didn't know they made bamboo sheet sets. I will be checking them out. Thanks AM :)

Karen, those scarves sound wonderful. I use a scarf in the colder months, but I have to 'try' them all on my neck, many are just too scratchy. I will have to check this fall to see if any stores carry bamboo scarves.

Joy, thanks for the info for the shirts. My DH and I are looking for shirts w/ sun protection, and the fact that they are so soft - well, that's just the icing on the cake. lol

Diane, I go nuts w/ wrinkles, too. That can keep me awake or wake me up. We are just sooo sensitive!

Luvzminis, I love the flannel, too. They feel so good on a cold winter's night.

Hi Alice!!! I think Redheart makes a "soft" yarn. I can only wear them if the yarn is softer. I get itchy. I make some with merino wool. Which isn't as scratchy to me.

Thank you so much for posting this! I'm going to try to get some. I use my summer sheets all year round because I can't stand itchy ones, but when they bunch up or wrinkle it bothers me.

The sun protection clothing is good for anyone wanting to avoid the sun....skin cancer, lupus, easy burned people, etc.

Since its made with bamboo fibers they are very soft and good for sensitive people like fibromites.

Oh yes!! I had some bamboo sheets. I found some on sale somewhere b/c they are quite expensive. They were the best sheets I ever had. The same with bamboo socks!!!! Never had any clothes made out of bamboo though, what a great idea!!!!

Thanks so much, Marie, for that information. It took me a long time and returning 3 sets of sheets before I found my bamboo sheets. I'll try the Whisper Silk sheets soon.
