As I've mentioned a few weeks ago, I'm having a horrible time with pain everywhere, mostly my arms and legs aching. I did see my doc (who I respect and trust) and he said he wondered if I was having sleep problems. He really believes Fibro is a sleep disorder.
I've been using cpap for about
7 years now, and the numbers I see on the machine every morning are good......but for about
a year, I've been waking up a lot at night (alpha wave intrusion). I use xanax maybe twice a month for a better night's sleep, but the doc said to try taking it (.25mg) every night for 2 weeks to see if I felt better. Well.......I don't know for sure. It's so bizarre that one day I can have almost no pain, and the next I'm in horrible pain. But.....it has eased a bit. I also have a lot of arthritis which confuses the issue too.
Anyhow.....I started thinking maybe my magnesium was low. I'm also having my usual occasional irregular heartbeats, which seem to occur when my Magnesium is low. I take mag citrate daily, but it can easily give me diarrhea. So I've ordered mag malate, which seems to have good reviews. But I'm also wondering about
the magnesium lotion. Some say it doesn't really get absorbed, while others say it definitely helps.
Have any of you tried the lotion?
Have any of you found that you really need higher doses of a certain type of magnesium??
I've been thinking that my arms and legs ache really badly. But now I'm thinking it might be mild cramps.
Anyhow.....just curious about
your response to increased magnesium.
But.....that's the one thing I don't like about
my doc. He doesn't seem to think low magnesium is ever a problem. One of these visits, I'm just going to have to slap him.
