Agree with all above received disability social security when I was 49 for Fibromyalgia when Social Security didn't recognize Fibromyalgia as a disability.Do they now? I live in Atlanta and I found an Attorney who knew of Fibromyalgia, Cfs etc. Was willing to do business by my husband's fax and telephone. He told me when I went to court to not wear make up, to not fluff out my thinning hair and just tell the Judge my symptoms and life chronologically, factually. Easy for me, used to do Family Support. If I had to report a specific Home Visit.I couldn't say the child was happy. I had to say. The child had on clothing appropriate for weather and was not soiled. She quietly beside her mother on couch, humming and smiling as me and mother talked. She asked mother for juice and mother responded and got her juice. Child left room brought toys in floors and mother made no response to multiple toys on floor. All that to say a child was happy and not afraid in her own home.
So that's how I spoke to the Judge factually describing my symptoms. My daytime routine. My limitations. He commended me and said I should give Seminars on how to represent yourself. Then I told I told him I spent 17 years writing reports being told they may go before a judge.
I wasn't afraid of judges back then I was afraid for the children.
