Bruising: a symptom of fibro?

Lately I seem to be bruising really badly, really easily. Sometimes I'm aware I've knocked against something but I'm surprised at how bad the bruising is given it would happen after only a fairly small knock. I often find I've only lightly walked into something but it's really painful but no bruising then other times I'm black and blue from really gentle knocks. Other times I'm finding bruises I have no idea how I got. Currently my legs are covered in them.

Is this a common symptom of fibro or am I just clumsy? I am aware sometimes it happens when I seem to loose my balance all of sudden/ or just seem to loose focus....like I'll catch the edge of a table when I'm trying to walk around it or walk into the doorframe instead of through the door!!! Is this also a fibro symptom? I've read loads about fibro so I'm aware it has a really broad variety of symptoms so just wondering if anyone else has personal experience of it.

Is there anyway of helping bruising to heal quicker or to prevent bruising so badly when I do knock into something. (My legs are covered in really strong black/blue/purple bruises so they look awful!!!)

My mother bruises like that. It turned out she has anemia and a blood disorder that used to be called pre-lukiemia. (It's not cancer so they changed the name, but I can't remember the name of it). Get your doctor to run blood tests to check your blood levels.

She has to cover the places with makeup.

I'm not totally sure if being more inclined to bruise is Fibro related or if it's just that I'm more clumsy now than usual due to loosing balance due to fibro; therefore more likely to knock myself and get bruised. Interesting to see that everyone has said they do bruise easily though.

I have bruised easily since childhood. I always thought it was do to a Vitamin C deficiency since i don't eat much fruit. But Vitamin C intake has helped some, but i still do bruise easily now at age 60
