I do not get actual Hives very often. I have only had those twice that I can remember, but I do get a raised rash quite often. I have been told that is from my Celiac though, not the Firbo. My skin is very sensitive in general and it seems that I always have bumps and bruises that take forever to heal. I am not sure what is related to what anymore.
I hope you feel better soon. That rash and hives can be very annoying.

Lets keep this simple - it is called psychological dermatological condition. I have had it and a great example is my wife.
She is extremely strong and emotionally grounded. Her work was only 6 blocks from our home so she walked. One day a man in a doorway exposed himself to her - over the next few weeks he would appear out of nowhere - police were notified but over 6 months he kept stalking her.
She broke out with massive hives all over her body - multiple doctors and medications and it just got worse
I got a great job offer at a clinic in a distant city so we moved - within 4 months she was hive free and never had another outdreak

I think anxiety can cause hives. I've had hives one time and it was before I developed Fibro. I was a teacher and was having the facility Christmas party at my home on a Friday night after working all day long. Well, I was cleaning like a maniac days before the party and awoke the morning of the party covered in hives. I was really miserable and it took almost a week for them to leave.
I rarely have anxiety now and am better for it. I just refuse to worry about
things now. It never helps anyway and can make you sick. The peace is heavenly.
