Return of symptoms... bummed.

So... I've been happily cruising along... taking my prescription strength Vit D and feeling great... when it started all over again. I woke up with my hands stiff and painful. Tried to grocery shop but had to quit half way through and let hubby finish due to right leg pain (ankle, knee, hip) and pain in the bottoms of both feet. My neck is stiff and my left ribs hurt. And I am sooo tired.

So much for the Vit D theory.

Just sad... confused

Vit d does not cure fibro, but getting our numbers back in line sure help with pain and fogginess.we certainly still have flares come and go....

Hope tomorrow is better..i cretainly have been flaring with the weather fronts, here in the east

Just imagine how much worse your pain could be if you hadn't been taking the vitamon D! Lmj is right. It doesn't cure Fibro but it does help with pain and fatigue...even in people who don't have Fibro.

I'm flaring too. I was awakened in the middle of the night with back, elbow, and hand pain and had to get up, take some ibuprofen and stretch before heading back to bed. We are getting a lot of fronts coming through along with rain and that does it for me.

This must be the week for flares. shakehead I have been sick again and in a flare as well. This is busy season at work, so I am trying my hardest to push through the pain and fatigue. Hope it ends soon and we all feel better!!

Yes, MelW11, I think this is the week for flares!

I was doing fine, then my lower back started acting up. It's not that bad; just some muscle tension, but I can sure feel it especially when I get out of bed in the morning, and out of a chair. Just kind of a nagging ache.

I use the heating pad, but it hasn't helped as much as I like. I also used some muscle rub cream (helped somewhat), took acetaminophen, and did some mild stretching. I used to take one of my meds and it would help immediately, but since having the teeth issues (rough surfaces), I've not taken any.

Any more suggestions for lower back pain?

So it's been a week of more sitting than standing, though I did get some vacuuming in this afternoon, which was a plus. At least I'm getting some drawers cleaned out in the kitchen. I'm calling it early Spring cleaning.

Hope these weather fronts pass by quickly and everyone starts feeling better!

Hi have you hear of 5-HTP?? It is effective for relieving symptoms of fibro!

I understand how you feel. I thought I had found the magic cure when I started eating low oxalate. My symptoms were nearly gone. Then came winter and right back where I started. All is not lost though. Maybe this is part of our journey to acceptance.

You all are just so encouraging. Thank you.

I got a few things done over the weekend but I decided I really do need to rest when things are like this. When I push too hard I pay for it later... I don't need a major crash and burn right now so I'm just poking along doing the minimum and forgiving myself for not being able to do all I want.

Hi, Fibro Healer, and welcome! How about sharing with everyone. I'm surprised as a brand new member that you only want Peacefulwarrior to email you...unless you are promoting something and that isn't allowed on the forum. Just guessing here.

Many might hesitate a direct email to fibro healer. A secure site is important for members on this site where communication has been familiar thru a connection with familiar experiences shared on this open forum when appropriate .

Then fast forward to the technique fibro healer applied asking forum members to notify a personal address the first day fibro healer signs on. Could be a bug...???(who knows.)

We share all our tips, experiences and what helps us here on this site for all to read. Respectfully would ask that you share in the same spirit for all to see and share on this site as well.

There is a web site email system where your profile is located you can sign in for a email address and set one up on this site. Would it be possible for you to post a sample of the emails u refer to above for all to read? Tips and points we are all too familiar with. Tell us something we don't know.

Also PM the community moderator with more info about you. Where you obtain your tips, experience etc. It may be to your advantage to talk more about who you are and what could be shared on this forum. What experiences that you can contribute or add to accredit any information applicable to the many health issues you mentioned in your post.

If you are a medical professional, do not use the forums to distribute professional advice and/or promote your services.

I know you are not a medical professional but you still are a professional with clients and a business. I'm not sure if you are selling something either. That is not allowed. Now, if you know of a supplement that has helped a lot of people with pain, then you can share it on the forum. Plus, I highly doubt you have a solution. If there was a solution we all would have heard about it by now. And, if you know anything about Fibro, what works for one doesn't necessarily work for another with this illness. We don't have the typical pain. Researchers think it's a neurological issue.

We do talk about what medications and supplements we take. If this is what you want to share on the forum...not from having members contact you...that is fine. Just do not provide links to a site where there are sales.

I want to explain my latest posts plus Chotti's posts, since the new member in question just closed her account and deleted their posts. They came on as Fibro Healer and wanted members to email her to get information that was a solution for their pain. After our discussions, she left. That's why her posts are missing and it makes the last few posts confusing.

I would highly suggest that our members never email new members who make claims like this. I can't be here to monitor the forum all of the time. If they can't share on the open forum, that sends many red flags up for me and I'm sure for you also. There are a lot of people who like to profit off of our chronic pain. We get desperate at times and that's not good. You will get good, safe info on this forum.

I am very hesitant to e-mail anyone that I do not know without "talking" to them first, but I know people get very desperate when they are in pain and not feeling well. I cannot stand people that try to take advantage of that. Thank you all so much for keeping this a safe place for all of us!!
