Hi everyone,
I thought my only problems were muscle pains and dry eye/mouth due to fibromyalgia in the past 20 years, but I recently came to realize that I was always having fibro fog because I got distracted easily and had trouble concentrating on things since I was a teenager. Now I have short term memory loss, inability to remember new information and forget plans easily, and it is getting worse.
At home, I forget that I brushed my teeth 30 minutes ago and do it again. (My family always point it out.) At work, I keep making mistakes; I mix up information or forget to update the website that affects other people. Last week I was extremely overwhelmed by the workload, especially while my assistant took a week off for vacation without leaving any notes. My boss told me that she was aware of the mistakes I made and she'd like to talk with me sometime this week. When I talked with her privately last year, I told her about my condition and asked her to have another staff go on longer overnight trips. She was pretty understanding about it. Now I wonder if I should honestly tell her what is going on with me in terms of fibro fog. I know it may make myself look bad by making an excuse, but this is all true and I don't know what else to do. Any advice is appreciated.
