I watched this site last year during the eagle season...October to May. It was fascinating and sure took my mind off how I was feeling. You really get engrossed in this. It's something you don't usually see or can follow. I hope you enjoy this and that it helps with your pain. Below is a link for you if you are interested.
The eagles are back...Harriet and M15! They come back in October so I've been watching for them. I watched them last year, saw their egg hatch, watched them feed the eaglet and watched it grow and the parents teaching it how to survive, and saw the eaglet fledge. The eaglet finally left the nest for good last May. It is fascinating. Right now they are bringing sticks to the nest to fortify it and getting ready to lay eggs.
I checked last night and nothing was going on so I checked this morning and both Eagles were in the nest with sticks in their mouths. There is a pond close by and the Eagles catch fish and bring them to the nest to feed the babies. This site will explain everything. It's just a wonderful chance to see nature in action.
Bookmark this site and visit it several times a day if possible. I did last year and didn't miss much. There will be comments from other eagle watchers so you will know what has happened that you did miss. I know I thoroughly enjoyed this last year.

I had a real eagle fly over my pond today. Probably looking for a nice fish. A big Red Tail came by and the eagle soared so high he looked tiny.
The state drained the big lake a mile away and stole the eagles' food supply. I hope they can find enough in the river. My pond fish aren't big and the herons eat a lot of them.

Im sure there will be enough fish to go around. The fish these eagles catch are only about
six inches long so your smaller fish are just the ticket. Plus they do eat mammals too.
We do have eagles where I live. My daughter is three miles from me and has eagles in her yard quite a bit. But she also has a small lake behind her and I know the fish and water attract them.
Isn't nature wonderful?
