I must confess that I don't have a regular exercise routine but our 2 cocker spaniels keep me going. They see a bird outside so they want out to chase it so I let them out. The poor thing is gone long before they get there since they make so much noise. Then they want back in. Minutes later they see another bird outside so out they go again.... and back in. Then the best! They see one of the squirrels! They whine and cry to go out. OK, I'm up and moving again to let them out. Once they are satisfied that they are the winning hunters they want back in. Oh, one of the cats is in the living room. Might as well give chase for some added fun.
Later I catch them snuggling with the cats. This is how my day goes. It's relaxing when they take their afternoon naps because I sometimes join them, or at least kick back in the recliner for a while. They are under 2 so are very active. Somehow I doubt they'll slow down any time soon. Cocker spaniels are natural hunters even if they don't catch anything! They never give up.
Warmly,
Chutz
