Thank you, Sherrine and Marlee for the warm welcome! It feels good to be with others who understand this disease. Sherrine, I live in Cuyahoga Falls. Closer to Akron than Cleveland, but I've been to the Berea fairgrounds several times. I've read your Malic Acid post and ordered it from puritan.com just last night. I'm so anxious to see if it works, even a little bit. I don't know if you can "hit the wall" with Cymbalta, but lately I feel like it's not doing a darn thing for me, although I know others who swear by it.

Marlee, all I can say is that it wouldn't hurt to try Cymbalta :) As I mentioned above, I don't feel it's working as well as it did at first; it seems the bad days are getting more frequent. The only side effect I noticed was extreme tiredness the first week or so after I started taking it. But that could have been the fibro too.

Nancy, I have heard of others that the Cymbalta stopped working for.  I don't know why it happens to some, but you are not alone.

 

I do hope the malic acid/magnesium helps you.  We have several members who tried it and it worked for them.  Be sure to start it out slowly.  The magnesium can cause diarrhea so let your body get accustomed to it slowly.  Be sure to take a calcium supplement, too. 

 

I head up to Cleveland every spring.  I have two children still up there...one in Middleburg Heights and the other in Lakewood.  It is lovely there.  I'm in Florida now and love it here.  It's better for the fibro!

Your welcome Nancy. I am lucky to be able to control the pain with 4000 mg of tylenol a day on most days. Fatigue is my biggest problem.

 

I'm moving in with Sherrine after the holidays this year but shhhh, she doesn't know it yet. I live in the middle of Illinois.

I am thinking the same thing, I think that Sherrine has lots of room. Besides I can stay outside by the pool.LOL

We should go together Marlee. She can't turn us down.hehehe

Hey, girls, I'd love to have you!  If you think  you could swing by Chutzie's and grab a few of the girls, I'll get busy building a coop for them.  That way we will have eggs for our omelets and fried chicken for dinner!  Sounds like a plan to me!  But don't let Chutz know.  Shhhh.....
