We spoke last wk about
the shots I got in my knees and if they were any help. I went to the ortho dr. today expecting another series of shots. I was a wreck for nothing. No shots, YEAH! He asked me how I felt after the last set and I said I didn't feel improvement. Did I still have a prob w/ balance? Yes. He asked about
numbness and/or tingling in arms & legs. Sometimes, my thigh gets numb, and my legs are always twitching or swinging. Do I have stiffness when I get up in the morning? Yes and the rest of the day, too. He asked me to move my arm in certain positions. That didn't go well, he felt I hadn't made the progress he had hoped PT would give me. He wanted to send me to a few other drs. I said I can't afford all those drs. I still have PT to finish and at the end it will cost me $600. that I don't have. He wants to send me for an MRI on my back. He also wants me to use a cane, switch sides as I need to. Now, for the good news, I gave the sec my co-pay and she gave it back. She said No Charge, Today.
The dr. still wants to give me steroids and I still refuse. That gets old, FAST. He said that he knew he couldn't cure FMS, but he had been hoping to relieve some of the pain. He also wants me to see a PM dr, I did last yr and it wasn't all I had hoped it to be, I will think about that a bit. He also wants me to go to a neuro dr. We'll see.
