Hi all! There are times when all of us have a bad day or days whether it's health or personal related. I bought this new CD a couple months ago by one of my favorite 80's rock groups who is still alive and well. I don't know how many of you are rock fans or have heard of or remember the group ASIA. This album is filled with amazing songs that I must say are inspirational and even spiritual. The lead singer, John Wetton, went through a very bad stretch of his life recently that included a close brush with death and the majority of these songs are about
these experiences, his turnaround and rebirth and his newfound appreciation of life. As a fibro/cfs/cebv sufferer, I, like the rest of you, search for relief wherever I can find it. I must say, this amazing music seems to possess relieving/healing properties. This one song in particular seems to work every time I listen to it.....which is often. It's titled "This Is An Extraordinary Life".......the lyrics are kind of simplistic but have such an inspirational effect on me that it's become my mantra, MY inspiration for life! I even wish this to be played at my funeral/memorial when that time occurs as a little parting gift from me to those left behind. I really wanted to share this with all of my family and friends here as a little reminder that relief can be found in other places besides medicine:
A perfect day
Or so I say
From where
I'm standing
This rollercoaster ride
Fate will decide
The ending
Love everlasting
Or lost on the way
The smiles
And the frowns
The ups and downs
Of fortune turning
The twists and turns
The lessons learned
The bridges burning
Nights to remember
And never forget
Go, seize the day
Wake up and say
This is an
Extraordinary life
Enjoy today
Come what may
This is an
Extraordinary life
I gave it all
My cards have fallen
But I'm still alive
And in the end
Believe my friend
I will survive
Glory and heartache
And some of the joy
Go, seize the day
Wake up and say
This is an
Extraordinary life
Enjoy today
Come what may
This is an
Extraordinary life
All of the good times
And all of the bad
Responsibility is totally
Mine I know
I rightly stand accused
But I believe
That I can change
Yes
I can change my world
Go, seize the day
Wake up and say
This is an
Extraordinary life
Enjoy today
Come what may
This is an
Extraordinary life
Gentle hugs & inspiration to all,
John
