Hi, lilbearsma, and welcome! I see that you have gotten a lot of helpful suggestions about learning about fibromyalgia. We have to be our own advocates so read and learn all you can.
I've had to take Prednisone many times in my life. The first time I took it, I actually landscaped the front of my house because I felt so good. But, within two weeks, I was flat on my back so sick so I hope this is definitely a short term thing for you.
Sometimes it feels like your joints are hurting but it actually is your muscles, tendons, and ligaments. That's what fibro does. It doesn't damage joints like arthritis does. So, if it definitely is your elbow joint then it isn't fibro causing this.
I have a toe that hurts and is swollen. That probably isn't fibro because you usually don't get swelling with it...you just FEEL like something is swollen. I hope I've explained this so you know what I mean.
Meanwhile, read all you can...including back posts. There is a world of info in them, too. Also, ask questions. That's what we are here for. I'm so glad you joined and I hope to hear more from you soon.!
