Tink, I just try to stay around 15 - 20 carbs breakfast and also 15 - 20 carbs for lunch. Many times it's less. Dinner is usually 45 carbs or a little more. Just google "counting carbohydrates" and a lot of info will come up. Diabetic sites have this too, but they usually suggest more carbs than what I do.
Read your labels. You will soon learn the good and bad foods. As I said, I look for calories, fat, cholesterol, sugar (because I'm diabetic), and carbohydrates. Once you see what the good foods are and how much you can eat of them, it is really easy. I don't count much anymore because I have been doing this for a couple of years. I know what I can eat and still lose weight.
