Is It Fibromyalgia?

I beiieve there are no tests to diagnose Fibromyalgia. One doctor diagnosed me and said, "If something
is seriously wrong with you, you'll have it fixed with Surgery. If it's not that serious, you have Fibromyalgia.
I did not choose surgery. Many other medical people had told me to not have surgery unless I couldn't
walk.

So I know these things are wrong with me: Osteoarthritis in all levels of the spine including the tail bone,
Fibromyalgia, Myofascial Pain, Scolios, Spondilytis, Spinal Stenosis, Spondilitis. My MRI's don't look
so good. Despite these other "little" problems most doctors still diagnose me with Fibromyalgia.
I left the doctor I mentioned in the first paragraph. Oh! I left him in a flash.

My Question: I have several diagnosable health problems but still several doctors tell me I have
Fibromyalgia. Do my other conditions cause Fibromyalgia? Or what?

I'm not sure I wrote this clearly. I usually spend my time at the Chronic Pain Forum but maybe I'm
a better fit on the Fibromyalgia board.

In my first paragraph of the preceding sentence I wrote about the Rheumatologist who said I would have
surgery if something was seriously wrong with me. I forgot to add the rest of what he said. He then
said, "If you have Fibromyalgia, I can't do a thing for you." Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Yes, I had a trauma in my life. The Fibromyalgia started after that. My life has been one long emergency.

Sometimes I feel what I think is Fibro but true I never know what is what.
