OK I agree that this should not become a multi-page rant, but since I started the topic I need to say a few things. I have been encouraged to not stop coming here because of a rude mod. Let me explain why I asked about geneology in the first place, and maybe in the future when a post is not as perfect as it "should" be, we can be more tolerant.
My paternal g'mother died a horrific death of breast cancer. She died in the early 70's, she lived in an extremely rural and poor community and had no access to the health care others had at that time. I had my own scare in 2007 and learned then that many members of her family- grandmother, sisters, aunts, a daughter- also suffered from BC and many died. I spoke recently with some BC researchers who called this a 'cluster' and said that if I could identify as many of these women as I could, then maybe they could do some work on how to isolate genes and perhaps my daughter and her daughters could have a fighting chance. I have been told that with my genes, its a matter of when for me and BC, I can live with that- but what I can't live with is my beautiful daughter not having every chance she can get. So thank you to Marlee, Sherrine, GamJill, QTKaren and so many other friends here, for giving me the tools I need to get this work done.
Peace!
