This seems like a nightmare. The past few days everything has been hitting me all at once. My heels are KILLING ME when I walk on them, my skin hurts whenever you touch it, my balance has been really off, I have the worst pains in my buttocks and pelvis, I've been having horrible anxiety, and worst of all, at times I feel like I am immobilized and it is hard to get up to walk.

Help me!!

Does ANYBODY understand? I know you all do, but I guess I just need reassurance...

Just tell me that I will be okay because sometimes it doesn't seem like I will be cry

We all understand. hon. Some days are worse than others, and obviously you are having a very hard time. The anxiety makes the pain worse, so first thing is try and relax. Take a warm bath with epsom salts, and try moist heat. Just try to relax. Lay still, close your eyes and try and think of something very soothing. Make sure you are warm enough. YOU WILL be ok. Sounds like a flare going on, but it will pass. Keep us posted as to how you are doing. YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!!

Oh, you are not alone!  I have had a pain that starts in my butt muscle, travels down my hip and pelvis, across to my knee then down the side of my leg for weeks!  It is a nauseating ache that just won't quit.  I am gimping around at the moment and I have so much to do!  Just hang in there...you are probably in a flare and it will pass!

Thank you Donna and Sue!!! Yes, I as well should be doing some things around the apartment, Donna, but I'm taking it easy right now and maybe will get to them tomorrow!! I am also gimping lol so frustrating, but I KNOW I will get through this.. smilewinkgrin

I have the same heel trouble that you are having. I can't even wear regular shoes when my heels are like this. I either wear backless slippers or clogs. I just started having pain in my lower back today which is a new one for me.

 I use a nice bubbling foot bath and some lotion on my feet and heels when they are like this. It does seem to help. Also a nice warm bath with epsom salts, as Sue said will help. When my hips or legs bother me, I sit in bed with a heating pad.

You will get to feeling better and I hope it is soon!

I suffer from really bad skin sensivity.  Have to wear large flowing clothing and flannelette sheets, if someone touches me I  can still feel it 20 mins later.  I dont have the heel prob though, though it sounds like alot of people do.  Does massage help, in general it makes me worse.  Sorry cant offer more.   sue2z

I can't offer much advice, but I can definitely sympathize.  I've been going through a horrible flare for the past 3 weeks, and at times the pain is excruciating. 

 

It seems like something new is hurting every day, and I'm only getting 3-4 hours of sleep at night, which makes everything worse.  cry

 

I know from past experience that it will get better, but it is so difficult when you are going through it.  I have several doctor's appts. in January, so I'm hopeful that I will get some relief.  I'm also using a heating pad, hot showers, a massager, and just trying to stay positive (not easy).

 

Hang in there.  You are not alone.  :-)

It will get better, it will get better. I know when we are in a flare it seems hopeless. Sounds like a lot of people are in the same boat right now. I'm sure many over did it for Christmas. I'm still waiting for my rib to get better. We would look  like a sorry bunch if we were all together. shocked

 

I don't have the lower body pain, all mine is from lower back up. I hope everyone is in better shape by New Years.

 

I've been having more anxiety too but that is normal for me to have more anxiety after a big event is over. I've done that for years, I guess cause my mind is not concentrating on something. Anxiety doesn't help the pain any.
