Illness

Well, some of you know that I wasnt feeling well... I've had flu-like symptoms since giving blood the other day, however, I was exposed to people at the doctor and hospital. I hurt all over Thursday and had a headache. Friday I got a temperature... It was up and down. Yesterday I felt a little better and actually took medicine(im really stubborn and prefer to fight things off on my own, dont shoot me down for it!) It took care of my fever, and this morning I was good. But, I suppose it started wearing off and I hurt all over..

I came home and I was really dizzy, no appetite, but I been staying thirsty. I had a fever, but I checked it over and over again. It would go up to 102 and all the way down to 99.6..... One time I did it and it was 101.3...I took it 5 minutes later, with my mom there and it was 99.8...and it just keeps going up and down...

This is very weird. One minute Im fine and Im not hurting or anything, the next minute, I can barely move, I hurt all over, my head is WAY off balance and my eyes are like crossed or blurry! I have to hold on to things to walk. I took a bath and didnt think I was ever going to get out... I was freezing and under about 12 covers. I called my mom mon my cell phone just to give me my drink that was beside me! Now, Im super dizzy, kind of stiff...but now Im sweating... Its SO weird...

Why is everything coming and going and my temp going way up then way down. Freezing then sweating. Dizzy. Weak. Hurting... Everything goes away, then everything comes with a vengeance. And it happens quick.. Whats wrong!?!? My parents and everyone think its the flu...a weird strain of the flu! lol Now Im starting to cough and sore throat, voice changing... Im not going to school tomorrow. I have a doc appt. with my Ortho I need to go to...and I may go to the doc in the morning... Im curious as to why whatever I have is being SO crazy.

You think it could be because of my blood? I gave a pint(i guess thats what they take), that same morning I had a tube taken at the doctor..and a week before I had 5 tubes taken at the hospital... I think they have siphoned all my blood! My bones cant produce enough that fast!!! lol

Nah...Anyways, sorry about the long story, I'll be okay! Dont worry. But, How does illness affect you? I get the flu every year... but how do different illnesses affect you? Just wondering...

I think it's the flu, too... BUT, I think you should let your health care provider know what's going on. 

I try to avoid going to the Dr's office - too many scary germs running around those places.  If I do go to the Dr. I always use LOTS of that antibacterial hand stuff and never touch my face until I can get home and wash my hands real well.

Last year I got the flu so bad I wound up with pneumonia.  I was sick for 3 months.  So now I get a flu shot and (knock wood) I've had a healthy winter.  Not even a cold - YIKES!! I hope I didn't just jinx myself!!

I woke up this morning and I've been cheery all day...well after taking my bro to school I went back to sleep from 8 til 1....I've been fine, no nothing! I started getting cold a while ago and I knew what was coming...it didnt take long either...hurting all over and the beginning stages of dizziness like last night(which was my worst ever) and so here we go again. Im taking flu medicine and everything...

I had all the hope in the world that I were going to go to school tomorrow, but now Im not sure if its safe..my temp is 100.3...... so? I dont know..When I wake up Im sure I'll be fine again and stuff, but with a fever tonight...I dont know what to do...

Hope you feel better Karen, Im sure the party at Sherrines tonight will do the trick for everyone, but I cant guarantee we'll feel any better in the morning!
