I just want to thank everyone again for your kind words. While I'm still sad, I do have incredible peace that Grandma Toots is with my grandfather and her parents (she said she saw them just before she died). My mom was with her when she took her last breath, and she said her passing couldn't have gone any smoother. She is being cremated and my uncle is going to take her ashes back up to Toledo, Ohio (where she was from) and have them buried with my grandfather. We aren't having a formal funeral, but in a week or so, we are going to have a memorial service. I'm writing down things that she used to say or do and I hope to read it at the service. We want it to be more of a happy celebration of her life rather than a sad memory of her death.
Anyway, I know I've thanked y'all 100 times, but it does mean so much to me. Like Shannon said, by now, I think it's safe to say that Grandma Toots was everyone's grandmother. I know I talked about her so much, LOL.
