My name is Deanna Thurmer. I have had FM symptoms for over 30 years. All this time I have been told, It's a trash can disease, something else is wrong with you. Maybe you have MS like your husband. Are you sure your just not drug shopping. We don't give narcotics for FM. Maybe you need PT. You look good. None of us can be pain free, The state of Tennessee doesn't like you taking Lortab. Let's just do some more test. I am sorry, you have been denied SSDI benefits again. I am sorry , as you SSDI rep, I am not an attorney and you have lost three years of benefits, try again. Maybe it's in your head. I have never had FM patients with more than 12 tp's.
Need I continue.
Currently, I am taking Lortab, Soma, Xanax, Lyrica, and some other meds. At first after the doctor practically sitting on my chest, I tried Lyrica. It is wonderful. The first six months I was a new woman. Since then, It does seem to be less effective, but still great. I take the Lortab and Soma for Pain and Muscle tightness. The Xanax to put up with all the BS involved in daily dealings with the govt abbreviated agencies, all determined to cut you out.
I haven't worked at all for 7 years, the pain was too great. The trigger points, i wish i could cut them out with a knife, really. I have my husband grab them and put them, to coin a phrase, it hurts so good.
I was turned down the first time for SSDi because I had a spineless "rep" who wasn't an attorney. When we went as far as we could go, he said we had to start again. I got a wonderful ATTY in Chattanooga and he got it for me. But by going with a that I found on TV as a "rep", I lost probably $30,000.
Now let's sweeten the pot.
I was in Maryville Tn, Taking my meds as instructed, and was involved in a MINOR traffic accident. The bad part I was involved with the Human Resource MGR for the county and all the police rushed to her aid. i also have meniere's Disease, an awful inner ear proble. I was booked on DUI for have script meds in the car, which i readlily divulged, being a good girl. I could not pass the field sobreity test, because of the Menieres. After having the "DRUGS" I was booked for DUI. The Police Officer, which doesn't diserve that title, put the cuffs behind my back and I have more shoulder pain thanks to him and more trigger points.
After being thrown in with some other fine citizens, it was terrible.
The case was thrown out, even though we spent over $2500 fighting the case. I told him I had Fibromyalgia and Meniere's, did not care. The Judge really fixed him on that regards.
Anyway, I could write a book, beside having to care for my husband which has MS. Luckily we have not been down at the same time. We have been able to care for each other. Last Sat, I was in so much pain, I was in bed all day, really bad.
Getting Pain meds has been a terrible situation. Lortab, according to our Governor is BAD. The state watches every script thru a computer in Nashville. Soma, even not even a controlled substance is viewed dimly. In the State of Tennessee If you need pain meds, the DR's are scared to death. The state wears dr's and the pharmacies out.
I have a feeling, none of these people in govt have a chronic, painful condition. They have no clue but are going to control my needs. Tell me about Norcon, is it better or stronger, The Lortab 7.5's are ok but don't shut it down..
I have a friend with Fibro and Meniere's.
My husband has tremendous pain with the MS and is written Oxycontin. When takin as instructed, found any evidence of horns growing out if head.
We and see what that does, she swears by it.
Deanna
Thanks, Deanna Thurmer
