birth control and fibromyalgia

I was having alot of problem too, they tried the shot and it didn't work so they did a partial hysterectomy and found out that I had reverse endo and pre cancer cells. So it was good they did the hysterectomy. Although it helped with some of bladder problems it made the fibro worse.

I just wanted to add a little bit more. At the age of 21 my DR. convinced me to get pregnant because I was starting with endometriosis I was married and had no reason to not have a baby By the time my son was a year old I was pregnant again taking birthcontrol I was the 3% I was not taking antibiotics or any thing. When I had my daughter I felt horrible for about 6 months I thought I was just tired she had alot of year infections I did not sleep alot My arms would go numb I went to the Dr and he said I had tendonitis. I was back a few weeks later because I had pains in my Knees. I was back inhis office 2 months later complaining of a horrible fatigue just an achy flue type feeling all the time. My cycle was very irregular My OBGYN had moved to Florida he basically told me to suck it up there were people dying of cancer and other ilnesses and that as far as irregular bleeding went it was just part of being a woman. I found a new DR. I thought I liked her She left to have a baby And once again I was thrown into a bad DR situation Went to DR with horrible pains told him of past kidney stones ect.. He sent me out of his office in tears and told me to take a couple tylenol and would schedule a ultra sound for next day I told him I thought I should have one asap he said no it was not an emergency. I ended up in the Er with a ruptured Kidney. Got a nasty infection from the urine leaking into my body. I went thrw Drs fast I finally found a dr. that listens to me.I have had several cyst and have had a couple cystoscopys in office and a D C I am only 37 and I only have one ovary that still works. I have had no one else tell me I have endo only that I have a few endo scaring and that my cyst are the ones you get from blood baking up instead of going forward and that that will cause endometrosis scaring and the less I ovulate the better because that means less scaring.
My point I am trying to make is make sure you trust your instincts and that you trust your DR. and can talk to your Dr.

I am on the depo shot as well. I also have fibro. I don't really know if my fibro is made worse by the shot or not. I can't risk having another kid, so I can't really go off the shot. I have tried the patch, which made me very ill, and I was on the pill when I first became sexually active when I was eighteen. I can't take the pill because I forget, so I don't see the point. I take 150mg of trazodone. If you are concerned about the shot making your fibro worse, talk to your doctor and see what he/she has to say about it. As much as I hate fibro, I know that I would rather have my symptoms made a little worse by the shot then get pregnant again. It is hard enough taking care of one child. I had a very hard pregnancy, and my son was two months early. But, I am too young to have my tubes tied, so, I opt for the shot. But, seriously, if you are concerned, do all the research you can, and then discuss it all with your doctor. I hope this helps.

Seasonal Affectiveness Disorder is pretty much a form of depression that occurs in a specific season. For me, it is in the winter when it is dark for a while and its cold. My friend's daughter took the Depo shot for 3 years. She gained 80 lbs and tests showed some bone loss. She stopped taking it when she was 21.
